WAIVER – APPLICATION FOR LIFTING OF THE ENTRY BAN TO THE UNITED STATES

The Waiver, or entry prohibition lift, is essential for those wishing to travel to the United States despite having a criminal record. This process, although complex, is made accessible through the expertise of Commissionnaires du Québec. Our unique approach lies in providing expert advisory services, guiding clients through each step of the Waiver application. By focusing on meticulous preparation and informed advice, we help our clients overcome legal barriers to regain their freedom of movement.

Waiver – full service

It is possible under certain conditions to travel to the United States, for business or pleasure even if you have a criminal record. It is not necessary to have received a record suspension to enter the United States. It is the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that has the authority to accept or refuse a request, depending on whether your criminal past is considered a high risk or if you have already been denied entry. Just as with the service offered for pardons, we evaluate your eligibility for free and if you are eligible, we can assist you in the waiver application process.

If you wish to obtain a record suspension in Canada (also called a Pardon), we offer a dedicated service. Click this link to learn more.

In order to be able to cross the American border legally, benefit from the services of professionals in the field:

  • We will explain all the steps you need to follow;
  • We will retrieve all your records;
  • We will advise you throughout the procedure;
  • We will provide you with examples;
  • We will fill out the i192 and G325 forms;
  • We will ensure that your file is complete before meeting with a U.S. customs officer.

Service price:

  • $600 (plus tax).
  • $400 (plus tax) for a renewal only.

Please contact one of the offices of Commissionnaires du Québec to schedule an appointment.
