1. REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION
By registering for our training courses, you confirm that:
- You have no criminal record and no charges against you.
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- You commit to being available and ready to follow the courses on your computer for the entire duration of the training.
- You have access to a computer or laptop with a high-speed internet connection, as well as a headset with a microphone or speakers and a microphone, and a webcam, all connected to the computer for the entire duration of the training.
2. TRAINING MODES AND SCHEDULES
2.1 Security Guard Training
Our training courses are delivered online, live, via videoconference.
- DAYTIME: Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, over two consecutive weeks.
- EVENING: Monday to Thursday, from 6:30 PM to 10:30 PM, over more than three consecutive weeks.
Videoconference connection instructions will be sent to you via email a few days before the training.
3. TRAINING REGULATIONS
3.1 Attendance
On the third instance of tardiness, the student will be excluded from the class without a refund. The Bureau de la sécurité privée (BSP) requires students to complete 54 hours of training to take the exam and obtain their diploma.
3.2 Dress Code
It is important to maintain appropriate and clean attire throughout the training.
3.3 Exam Retake and Absence
If you miss a class, you must make it up within 90 days for a fee of $50 plus taxes. Otherwise, you will not be allowed to take the exam.
If you fail or are absent from the training exam, you will have the opportunity to retake the exam up to two times within 90 days, for a fee of $50 plus taxes per attempt. After this period, the full training course must be retaken at the current rate.
We recommend that you prepare carefully to maximize your chances of success on the first attempt.
4. CORPORATE DISCOUNT
If you are a former military member or a former member of the RCMP, you may be eligible for a corporate discount. The 54-hour basic security guard training may be fully reimbursed under certain conditions.
5. REFUND POLICY
Any client wishing to cancel their registration for a training course and request a refund must do so in writing by sending an email to
[email protected]. The request must include the client’s full name and the start date of the training they are registered for. The refund will be processed using the same payment method as originally used by the client.
Commissionnaires du Québec commits to refunding the registration fees paid by the client if they cancel their training before it begins.
For any refund request received after the start of the training, whether the client attended or not, Commissionnaires du Québec will refund the client for the unused days of the training.
In all cases, 10% of the registration fee paid by the client will be retained by Commissionnaires du Québec to cover administrative costs associated with the cancellation and refund request.
