Commissionnaires was founded to provide meaningful employment opportunities to former members of the Canadian Armed Forces and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Today, we continue to honor this commitment by also supporting military families and creating an environment where everyone can thrive.

The first members of the United Kingdom’s Corps of Commissionaires. All were veterans of the Crimean War, and many had lost limbs due to their service on the battlefield. (1859)
